I have had three constant interests throughout my life time, Trains, Travel, and Photography.
As a child you could say that I was into photography, always using up disposable cameras taking lots of photographs of random scenes around my home and while traveling with my parents. In 2006 I decided to learn more about photography and pursue it was a serious form of art instead of a random occurrence with little meaning or inspiration.
I received an associates degree in photography in 2009 and spent a couple years doing freelance work throughout North Carolina. Having had my fill of shooting weddings and portraits full time I decided to enjoy photography as a hobby while following a career in one of my other interests, travel. I work full time as a truck driver traveling the eastern half of this great nation. Taking photographs in my spare time while on the road and mostly photographing trains and my children when I am home.
I still do the occasional portrait session or wedding. My schedule is limited so I apologize ahead of time that my availability isn't always as flexible as other photographers. I am also selective about the projects and assignments I take on as anything I do cuts into the already limited time I have to spend with my family or pursuing other interests.
My work has been displayed in various coffee houses, museums, and hospitals in the Foothills and Mountains of North Carolina. I have been published in several local newspapers and magazines including Branches, Smoky Mountain Living and Classic Trains.
